PROGRAMS

Academic programs

We offer quality instruction in academics, as well as, enrichment and additional assistance as needed. Our teachers plan programs and field trips that enhance learning throughout the year.

Our 4th through 8th grade students participate in school and county-wide spelling bees and in the in the National Geographic Bee.

Mid-week Christmas Services in December are led by the students.

National Lutheran School's Week in March offers a variety of activities.

At Grandparent's Day students and their grandparents (real or surrogate) participate in activities together during the school day.

The Reading Campaign offers a variety of ways in which teachers, students, and parents can get involved in reading activities.

The Curriculum Fair, held in early spring, highlights student work in all grades.

In late spring, a student musical or talent show is enjoyed by all.



Sports programs

After-school sports are offered for boys and girls in grades 5-8. Fall sports are flag football (boys) and basketball (girls). Winter sports are basketball (boys) and volleyball (girls). The spring sport is track and field. Boys volleyball and girls flag football have also been offered.

Fine Arts programs

Our choir and handbell programs offer students a chance to learn and perform music. They perform for school chapel services, Sunday and special worship services, and community events. They also participate in annual music festivals.

For an additional fee, students may also participate in the Band program. Qualified instructors visit the school weekly and provide instruction at all levels. These students participate in two concerts during the year with young musicians from other Lutheran schools in the area.

Each year students get the chance to exhibit their best art work in the Orange County Lutheran Schools Art Show in the spring.
