VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
ST. PAUL’S LUTHERAN SCHOOL PARENT VOLUNTEER PROGRAM
- Each family is to give 10 hours per year per family.
- The persons giving the hours can be any member or friend of the family other than the student.
- This assistance must be school related and must benefit the school directly.
- The ten hours can be given during the school day, after school, weekends and even during vacation time.
- Families are responsible for recording their hours. The log book is kept in the school office.
- Any hours not completed will be billed at a rate of $10.00 per hour. $50 will be billed at the beginning of each semester. For each hour served, up to ten hours, $10 will be credited to your account. There will be no late fee charged on this item to your account.
You can do any of the following to fulfill your PIP hours:
- Strawberry Festival – Work booth for 3 hour shift during Memorial Day weekend
- Fall Festival – Help with class game booth or volunteer in some other area
- Monday morning – putting together “Caring and Sharing” newsletters 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.
- Handyman (or woman) help with repairs
- Work party days-general cleaning and maintenance work
- Arrange Refreshments for:
- Math Night
- Bunco Night
- Curriculum Fair
- Back-to-school Night
- Family Reading Night
- Workparties
- Room parent-work with teacher to coordinate class parties and activities
- PTF executive board
- Field trips-driving
- Grading papers-teacher will communicate needs
- Kitchen Refrigerator - clean once a month
- Faculty room refrigerator -clean once a month
- School Directory-organize, type and publish
- Scrip Program helper
- Campbell soup labels-coordinate program
- Grandparents’ Day – Help coordinate efforts to make a visitors comfortable; esp. the brunch
- Book Fair – 2 times a year we need parents to man the book fair after school
